Synopsis: The work was conceived while living in the Middle East. It speaks to my perception of Middle Eastern traditions, religion, beliefs about fate, destiny and the afterlife.

Title: Jemaa El-Fina 1

Medium: Tumeric, Paprika, Moroccan Plate, Moroccan Cloth
Synopsis: This work is inspired by my visit to Marrakech, where I bought the plate and the cloth. The work was on display at the University of South Africa Art Faculty (RSA). It’s an homage to Morocco and its colourful markets.

Synopsis: As an installation artist I regard Anish Kapoor is role model. This piece is a nod to the first work (1000 Names 1980-81) I saw of Anish Kapoor. The piece was on display at the University of South Africa Art Faculty (RSA).

Synopsis: Women birth, nurture, love, cherish, educate, correct, cook, clean, council, guide and manage. Without women, the human race would go extinct. The installation was on display at the University of South Africa Art Faculty (RSA).
