About the work: Song over Time draws inspiration from Matthew 6:26–27, where Jesus reminds us that no amount of striving can add a single hour to our lives. The clock, traditionally a symbol of measurement and urgency, is transformed into a sanctuary where birds perch, sing, and rest. Time becomes not something to be chased or controlled, but a sacred vessel held within God’s care. Through spices preserved in resin, the work reflects on trust, surrender, and the quiet freedom found when we release our anxieties and learn to rest in divine provision.

About the work: Kintsugi Parchment draws its philosophy from the Japanese art of golden repair — the belief that fracture, made visible, becomes beauty rather than flaw. Amanda Margaretha renders this ethos in spice and resin: a mandala bloom of paprika radiates from a torn, parchment-like surface, its broken edges traced in shimmering gold. The piece speaks to restoration as a sacred act — the wounds we carry not hidden, but honored as part of the whole. Suspended between layers of resin using her signature Raison D’être technique, the work invites reflection on how brokenness, tended with care, becomes the very source of light.
